Please vote on November 8Know Where to go to Vote! After many years with eight different voting precincts (and polling places), so many people are now voting in Charlottesville that state law required the City to re-do the precinct boundaries. Charlottesville now has NINE precincts – and almost every precinct covers some new streets and neighborhoods which used to be in a different precinct. Please WATCH THE MAIL for your new voter card – the State Board of Elections is responsible for sending each voter a new card that will tell you what precinct your home is now in, and where you need to go to cast your vote on Election Day. You can also go to the SBoE website, enter your address, and find out your precinct and polling place for this year’s election – just click here. ps – one more thing: folks who live in the Carver precinct, you would usually vote at Carver Recreation Center at the Jefferson School. But since the Jefferson School is in the middle of big renovations, for this year Carver voters will go to a different, temporary location to vote: the Virginia Institute of Autism at 1414 Westwood Road. |
